Rancho Santa Fe Residents Set to Shred for Charity

group of people

In a true act of community participation, multiple businesses from around the Rancho Santa Fe Community came together this past week to hold the first ever Community Shredding Day and Food Drive. The residents of Rancho Santa Fe have long taken pride in their tradition of selfless giving, a tradition which they continued this past Wednesday.

Residents were invited to come out to the Offices of Morgan Stanley at 6037, La Flecha, and shred their old, unwanted documents of any kind. As well, they were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to give to the Rancho Santa Fe KidsKorps which were donated to FeedingAmerica.org. The KidsKorps also helped those who donated by unloading their vehicles, sorting the donated foods, and shredding any documents that were brought.

Running from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the event was hosted by the Offices of Morgan Stanley, with the free document shredding provided by the on-site mobile division of Iron Mountain. Over all the event was a success, with many donations having been made, and many documents having been disposed of safely. All documents shredded in the event were recycled properly, along with any bags used to transport them or the food donations.

Keeping in stride with the generous and charitable tradition of Rancho Santa Fe, Morgan Stanley’s “Shred for Charity” allowed the true spirit of the community to shine through and better the lives of those less fortunate. A big thanks goes out to all those who made this event possible, along with everyone who came to donate and participate.
