Rancho Santa Fe Hosts 4th of July Picnic and Parade

parade

Celebrating the 238th birthday of the United States of America, the Rancho Santa Fe community poured out in support of their annual July 4th parade. The event kicked off with a float parade in which many local families and businesses participated in their expertly decorated red, white, and blue floats. Community bands provided their musical talents as the floats proceeded along the parade route accompanied by historic cars, patriotically bedecked bikes and golf carts, and an Honor Guard.

Also present at the event, the local Rancho Santa Fe Girl and Boy Scout troops lent their support and marched in the parade. Residents lined the route, waving flags and cheering in what was the 33rd consecutive year of the parade’s history.

Afterwards, the community held a picnic at the park directly in front of The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Music was provided by the Coastal Communities Concert Band, whose stirring renditions of classic American pieces were greeted with cheers and applause all around. Food for the picnic was provided on behalf of the RSF Golf Club, with deserts being handled by The Inn.

The annual 4th of July picnic was sponsored by an assortment of organizations, among them the Rancho Santa Fe Association, Golf Club, Community Center, and Polo Club. Over all the celebrations went over smoothly and we eagerly look forward to the 34th annual 4th of July Parade and Picnic!
