Rancho Santa Fe Community Center To Host Golf Tournament Fundraiser

With incredible mountain and ocean views, miles of beautiful trails and endless hills of citrus and eucalyptus trees, it is no surprise that Rancho Santa Fe is known for its luxury real estate and exclusive ambience. The community possesses its own golf, tennis and equestrian facilities amongst terrific schools, live theater, art and music.

Rancho Santa Fe no doubt boasts magnificent houses and more than comfortable neighborhoods, but it is also home to a thriving, diverse and cultural community. Community, in fact, is an integral part of this North County San Diego town’s charm and appeal.

Of great importance to the preservation of this community environment is the RSF Community Center. The Community Center holds that it “strives to enhance the spirit and benefits of community life in Rancho Santa Fe through programs, events and services of enrichment, recreation and outreach for all ages.” Its values include integrity, inclusiveness, safety and security, and of course, loyalty to the community.

The RSF Community Center’s programs include annual Summer Camps, which offer to children of all ages the chance to go rock climbing, go on beach trips, as well as take part in arts and crafts.

Mothers have the opportunity to meet their neighbors and get connected to the community through Moms and Tots, which organizes play dates and activities.

Adults may take fitness classes, from jazzercise to yoga, or attend family outing events.

Every year, the Community Center makes efforts to host fundraising events and get involved in different opportunities to give back to the community and other communities as well.

Last April, Randie Reinhart and her husband Leon of the Maya Relief Foundation hosted a fashion show and silent auction to raise money to benefit indigenous families in Guatemala.

Fun and participatory events such as poker and dodgeball tournaments are often put on to help fund the programs and services of the RSF Community Center. This year’s poker tournament featured poker celebrities and local sports luminaries for an exciting evening of Texas Hold ‘em.

This month is the Community Center’s “All Fore the Community” Golf Classic. The 21st annual event is set to take place on Monday, October 27th at the exclusive Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.

The tournament, which will be open to the public, will feature an 18-hole scramble, putting contest, lunch, tee prizes, and an after-party that will consist of a dinner, hosted bar, awards ceremony and silent and live auctions.

As community support from individuals and businesses is critical to the success of the event each year, the Golf Classic is the perfect opportunity for community initiative and collaboration.

Each player must pay an entry-fee of $350 (which includes the after-party), while the after-party alone will cost $75. All proceeds will benefit the RSF Community Center and its various programs and future events.

Said Linda Durket, “The Golf Classic if one of our largest fundraisers of the year. Thanks to the incredible support of local businesses and residents, the tournament continues to be a favorite in the community.”
