Q&A with Maricel Masterpiece new Homeowners

Ryan McGovern of the Jason Barry Team interviews new homeowners of 7812 Chadamy in Carmel Valley to get their thoughts on their recent Maricel Masterpiece home purchase.

What do you love about your home?

Davidson did a wonderful job with the layout. The thoughtful design perfectly blends an open space feel with generous bedrooms for occupants to retreat to. We love the bonus room upstairs and the creative office space. The flooring and finishes are beautiful and the yard is the perfect spot for us to enjoy the San Diego sunshine and watch our children play. We love that our house feels like a home.

What do you like about the neighborhood?

We searched Carmel Valley extensively and fell in love with the Maricel Community (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr9eGGZfBW4).

Our key criteria were (Safety, Schools, Convenient Location, Friendly Boutique Neighborhood, Reputable Builder, Community Parks, and Green Space). The first time we drove inside the private gates we knew this was our spot—as it checked off every item on our list! The neighbors in the Maricel community are amazing. We will genuinely miss the friendly nature of those surrounding us. While private, safe, and secure, the community is very welcoming and the kids are free to play in the street without fear or through traffic to interfere. The canyon behind Maricel allows for nature hikes and provides a sense of natural habitat that makes you feel like you’re not in the hustle and bustle of Carmel Valley. Lastly, we particularly love that our neighborhood is centrally located between I-5 and I-15 so we can avoid traffic.

What are your favorite local activities, events, or attractions?

We love seeing the hot air balloons fly over our neighborhood. The community center holds dozens of great events, from holidays to dance classes and the community pools are great for families with kids. Carmel Valley has a lot of extra-curricular activities for kids as well, from gymnastics, to swimming, to soccer, and football.

Tell me about your preferred local restaurants and shopping options?

Our location offers convenient access to restaurants in several areas including Carmel Valley, Rancho Santa Fe and 4S Ranch. All are equally accessible. Some of our favorites are Cucina Enoteca, Davanti Enoteca, Market, and Karl Strauss Brewery. Whether it’s a date night or a family dinner, there are an abundance of choices and that they’re easy to get to. In terms of shopping we prefer healthy food and frequent Whole Foods and Jimbo’s. We are excited about the new plaza under construction with Trader Joe’s and Crunch Fitness coming soon.
