Interior Design Trends Coming in 2017

We may only be a few months into 2016, but 2017 trends for your home are already arising! Trend forecasters and designers are rolling in with the newest and hottest trends for your luxury home. So if you’re thinking about or already renovating or building your own luxury home, here are some trends to look out for.

Terracotta-Floors-Luxury-Real-Estate

One of the newest old trends coming in 2017 is going to be none other than terra cotta tiles, but these are not your momma’s tiles. Instead of using them as borders they could have a natural matte finish that would be used as feature walls or cladding fireplaces. The trend is meant to add a warmth that makes your home all your own.

Luxury-Real-Estate-Cork-Accent-Wall

Cork is making a comeback! Cork adds warmth and texture to any home, its also a great way to absorb noise in luxurious open plan homes. Imagine having an entire cork wall that you could rearrange with pictures, posters and even reminders whenever you please.

Dark-Green-Walls-Luxury-Real-Estate

2017 is the year we wave goodbye to navy blues and midnights, because dark shades of green are one of the hottest new trends to come. Dark greens add depth when used as accent pieces, especially among tan leather, brass and natural linens.

Luxury-Upholstered-Headboard

One of the easiest ways to add glamour to any bedroom is already upholstered bed heads, but the trend is said to completely explode in 2017. Bed heads are a staple in luxury hotel bedrooms and celebrity homes, they are so versatile and can fit and flare to any bedroom.

Jewel-Tone-Luxury-Home

Another great way to add sparkle and glamour into your home is with space inspired jewel tones. Beautiful flowing silks, transparent fabrics, Lucite, and opal bring a soft romantic element into the home.

Finger-tile-design-kitchen

Another fabulous trend coming 2017 is going to be what is called a “finger” or “kit-kat” tile, which is a long thin tile that is a sleek and fun way to brighten up any kitchen or bathroom.

If you’re selling your home or are looking to buy, these are some great trends to look for or dress up your luxury estate. For additional information regarding luxury real estate, contact your Rancho Santa Fe Real Estate team of Jason Barry at 858.756.4024.
